The rug is made from a fine mesh, breathable functional fabric that effectively protects against insects while remaining comfortable for the horse to wear for extended periods.

The fixed neck section and wide belly flap provide excellent coverage over the areas where sweet itch most commonly occurs. Elastic inserts at the shoulder and at the base of the neck allow good freedom of movement and help the rug sit comfortably even when the horse is moving in the field.
