Zinc bandage 10 cm x 5 m that provides support, reduces swelling and promotes healing of injuries to the horse’s legs.
Zinc bandage is a non-elastic gauze bandage impregnated with moist zinc paste. It is used in the treatment of conditions such as swelling, filled legs and tendon injuries in horses, where both support and long-lasting effect are required.
The zinc paste has a cooling and astringent effect, helping to reduce swelling and create favourable conditions for healing. The bandage is applied directly to the skin or over wounds and then secured with, for example, Vetrap or adhesive bandage.
Thanks to its composition, the bandage can remain in place for up to one week, or as recommended by a veterinarian.
