Equitus Theta from Schockemöhle Sports is an innovative anatomical bridle that can be used both bitless and in combination with a bit. The model is based on the well known Equitus design but has been specifically developed for bitless riding and bitless work with the horse.

The noseband features the characteristic curved shape of the Equitus range, designed to help avoid pressure on the horse’s sensitive facial nerve. In this model the noseband is slightly wider and lightly reinforced to provide a secure fit and soft pressure distribution across the nasal bone.

When used bitless, the reins are attached directly to the optimally positioned D rings on the noseband. The rings are reinforced with nylon for added durability.

At the same time, Equitus Theta is a versatile 3 in 1 bridle. Thanks to the proven button rivets, the bridle can also be used with a regular bit by attaching cheekpieces. It is also possible to ride with two pairs of reins, where one rein is attached to the bit and the other to the D rings on the noseband. This can be a good option for sensitive horses or when introducing a horse to the bit.

The anatomical design provides a high level of comfort for the horse. The softly padded headpiece offers generous ear clearance and helps reduce pressure over the poll. The browband is extra curved and slightly wider to help avoid pressure around the eyes and ears.
