Highlander Plus sweet itch and fly rug from Shires is a full coverage summer rug that protects the horse from biting insects, sweet itch and the effects of the sun. The rug is designed to provide even protection over the whole body during turnout.
The rug features an integrated neck with ear holes and a large tail flap that helps keep the body, neck, dock and poll covered. The durable and breathable fabric allows airflow while helping protect against sunburn and bleaching. The belly flap provides coverage underneath, and deep shoulder gussets allow good freedom of movement. The rug fastens at the chest with buckles and has an adjustable fillet strap as well as attachment points for leg straps.
