Rheva Wound Protection is a practical dressing for minor wounds in horses. It protects the wound while allowing it to breathe and heal in a calm, protected environment. Sold as a combo pack containing 2 Plasters and 2 fixation patches in the size large.
The unique mesh creates a space between the dressing and the wound itself, protecting it from dirt, insects and contact from items such as rugs without irritating the injured area. The design helps maintain a moist and protected environment that supports the natural healing process and prevents the wound from drying out.
The dressing is water resistant and can normally remain in place for up to seven days. For the best adhesion, the area should be thoroughly cleaned and, if necessary, clipped before application. When used on more mobile areas, Rheva's additional fixation patch can be used for extra secure attachment.
